The Dollah Kassim Award

Soooo I thought I would blog about "The Dollah Kassim Award", which I thought was really encouraging. The winner gets to win The Singapore Pools Passport to Excellence, which includes an overseas training stint with a prestigious football club. That reaaaaally is gonna be huge for any of the boys to win that! But before that, let me introduce the 5 nominees:
Photobucket
From left: Ignatius Ang, Ammirul Emmran Mazlan, Jeffrey Lightfoot, Muhammad Faris Ramli and Anumanthan Mohan Kumar

1) Jeffrey Lightfoot
A commanding central defender blessed with good technique, the 15 year old is the captain of the national Under 15-side that won the bronze medal at the inaugural YOG.

I bet most of you are familiar with him, the one who had himself injured during one of the match, oww to the stitches! :/

2) Muhammad Faris Ramli
Faris, 18, announced his arrival on the domestic scene scoring his first S-League goal on his first start for Young Lions against Home United. The tricky winger looks set to play a bigger role for the club next season

I don't rlly know him, I don't watch S-league. To those chasing S-League matches, I guess y'all would know him pretty well? o.O

3) Anumanthan Mohan Kumar
Anumanthan is an energetic midfielder with an eye for the penetrative pass. A member of the national under 16 set-up, the 16-year old was recently fast-tracked to the Under-17 side which recently went for a training stint in Perth.

HMM... I don't know him either. But he looks more mature than his age, what y'all think? But the way he is being portrayed, he seems pretty good!

4) Ammirul Emmran Mazlan
An all-round central midfielder, Ammirul's box-to-box style of play keeps his side's midfield engine purring. The 15-year old was part of the YOG bronze-winning starting XI and was joint-top scorer for the Cubs.

I like the cubs, they look small on the field :>. Haha okay most ppl look small, but they look extremely small. -___- Okay I can remember him for scoring a header in the Montenegro match if I am not wrong... IT was greaaaaat.

5) Ignatius Ang Yu Hen
Winger Ignatius Ang, 18, has made his first inroads into the Young Lions team this season, featuring once in the league and also in the Singapore Cup semi-final against Tampines Rovers.

I don't know himmmmmm........... Guess he's good otherwise he won't be one of the nominees riggggght!

Okay so why am I blogging about this? yes partly to show how good they are and what a prestigious award this is! But also to introduce TNP contest!(If y'all haven't known yet)
