A choice

We often say "It's not like I had a choice"... well you do actually have one. It's a matter of how badly you want it. If you decide that it is something you really want, you will fight for it. No matter how hard it gets or how bad rejections may get. It may be regarding work... relationships... family issues. I postulate that those who claim to have not a choice, are those who are scared. And it's alright to be afraid. You just have to know that you'll have to face it in the end.

We always have a choice. We're just afraid of the consequences that come after. Like the disappointment on our parents' face if we decide to stop schooling to pursue say, being an artist (where, at this point I am stereotyping but, parents feel that is no future in). Or the hurtful faces on our family members if we tell them hard truths... and the awkwardness we'll face when rejected by our crushes. So we simply say "I didn't have a choice..." We say that to feel better about ourselves, to show greater acceptance to our flawed nature.
